시냇물 소리 들리네 바위 틈 사이로. 골짜기 따라 흐르는 맑고 시원한 물. 무엇에 끌렸는지 왠지는 몰라도 나 또한 물길 따라 걸음을 옮겼네. 골짜기 아래로 멀리 냇물 따라 간다네. 시원하게 흐르는 맑은 냇물을 따라. 내 갈 길 어디인가? 오 냇물아, 어딘가? 말하라, 어딘가? 흐르는 물소리에 내 마음 홀렸네. 물에게 뭐라 하랴? 아무 말 없는 물. 물속의 요정들이 노래 불렀을 뿐. 시냇물아, 노래하라. 방랑길 즐겁게! 맑은 시냇가에는 물방아 있으리.
