Fais rafraîchir mon vin de sorte
Language: French (Français)
Our translations:  ENG GER
[Fais rafraîchir mon]1 vin de sorte
qu'il [passe en froideur un]2 glaçon;
fais venir Jeanne, qu'elle apporte
son luth pour dire une chanson;
nous ballerons tous trois au son,
et dis à Barbe qu'elle vienne,
les cheveux tors à la façon
d'une folâtre Italienne.

Ne vois-tu que le jour se passe?
Je ne vis point au lendemain;
Page, reverse dans ma tasse,
[que ce grand verre soit]3 tout plein.
Maudit soit qui languit en vain!
[Ces vieux médicins]4 je n'appreuve;
[mon]5 cerveau n'est jamais bien sain
[si beaucoup de vin ne l'abreuve.]6

Geh, kühl mir meinen Wein so tief
Language: German (Deutsch)  after the French (Français)
Geh, kühl mir meinen Wein so tief,
dass kälter er wird als das Eis!
Geh, hol mir Jeanne, auf mein Geheiß
soll singen sie ein Lautenlied;
ein Tanz zu dritt auf ihre Melodien.
Desgleichen Barbe zu mir führt,
kokett mit Locken so geziert
wie eine Italienerin.

Siehst du nicht, wie die Zeit vergeht?
Ich denke niemals an das Morgen;
komm, Page, frischen Trunk besorgen:
Schenk ein, schenk voll und schenke stet!
Verflucht all jene, die umsonst verzichten!
Ich stimme nicht mit diesen alten Ärzten überein;
Gesund fühlt sich mein Hirn mitnichten,
sofern es nicht getränkt in Wein.
