Frühling. Vier Frauenduette (Sopran und Alt) mit Pianoforte , opus 17

by Hans Ebert (1889 - 1952)

1. Frühling
 (Sung text)

Language: German (Deutsch)
In dämmrigen Grüften
Träumte ich lang
Von deinen Bäumen und blauen Lüften,
Von deinem Duft und Vogelsang.

Nun liegst du erschlossen
In Gleiß und Zier,
Von Licht übergossen
Wie ein Wunder vor mir.

Du kennst mich wieder,
Du lockest mich zart,
Es zittert durch all meine Glieder
Deine selige Gegenwart.

Text Authorship:

  • by Hermann Hesse (1877 - 1962), "Frühling", subtitle: "(1899)", written 1899

2. Improvisation  [sung text not yet checked]

Language: German (Deutsch)
Wolke, Kleid und Blume ihr Gesicht.
Wohlgerüche wehn, verliebter Frühling!
Wird sie auf dem Berge stehn,
Wage ich den Aufstieg nicht.
Wenn sie sich dem Monde weiht,
Bin ich weit, verliebter Frühling!

3. Die Madchen singen  [sung text not yet checked]

Language: German (Deutsch)
Alle Mädchen erwarten wen,
wenn die Bäume in Blüten stehn;
wir müssen immer näh'n und näh'n,
bis uns die Augen brennen.

Unser Singen wird nimmer froh,
fürchten uns vor dem Frühling so:
finden wir einmal ihn irgendwo,
wird er uns nicht mehr erkennen.
