Drei Lieder für 1 Mittelstime mit Pianoforte , opus 18

by Fabian Rehfeld (1842 - 1920)

1. Wenn ich in deine Augen seh'  [sung text not yet checked]

Language: German (Deutsch)
Wenn ich in deine Augen [seh']1,
So schwindet [all' mein Leid]2 und Weh;
Doch wenn ich küße deinen Mund,
So werd' ich ganz und gar gesund.

Wenn ich mich lehn' an deine Brust,
Kommt's über mich wie Himmelslust;
Doch wenn du sprichst: ich liebe dich!
[So]3 muß ich weinen bitterlich.

2. Du liebst mich nicht, du liebst mich nicht  [sung text not yet checked]

Language: German (Deutsch)
Du liebst mich nicht, du liebst mich nicht,
Das kümmert mich gar wenig;
Schau' ich dir nur ins Angesicht,
So bin ich froh wie'n König.

Du hassest, hassest mich sogar,
So spricht dein rotes Mündchen;
Reich mir es nur zum Küssen dar,
So tröst' ich mich, mein Kindchen.

3. Ich liebe was fein ist   [sung text not yet checked]

Language: German (Deutsch)
Ich liebe was fein ist
Und wenn's auch nicht mein ist!
Am Himmel die Sterne,
Die Sonne, den Mond;
Auf Erden die Ferne,
Und was darin wohnt.
Die Vögel in Lüften,
Die Rosen im Tal,
Mit Bergen und Klüften
Die ganze Welt zumal.

Ich liebe was fein ist,
Und wenn's auch nicht mein ist!
Die blühenden Wangen,
Die Augen so klar,
Die Stirne umfangen
Von lichtbraunem Haar.
So neckisch, so lose,
Wie spielender Wind:
Die Sonne, die Rose,
Das allerschönste Kind!

Text Authorship:

  • by Julius Rodenberg (1831 - 1914), "Ich liebe, was fein ist", appears in Lieder, in Liebeslieder, first published 1862
