Regna la calma tutt'intorno
Gli uomini si sono abbandonati al sonno,
l'anima mia saluta la luce eterna
riposa come un marinaio che è giunto in porto.
 
Il falso affaccendarsi, la vanità,
tutto ciò che non può dare conforto,
e che di giorno il mio cuore ha distratto,
adesso giace profondamente sepolto.
 
Un diverso sovrano, meraviglioso,
con animo reale,
gloriosamente giunge nel regno silenzioso,
e sul suo eterno trono sale.
