la gente deslenguada,
que quiero à quien me quiere,
y amo y soy amada.

Malas nuevas suenen
de estos maldicientes,
que siempre se mantienen
de sangre de inocentes:
que dijan las gentes
no se me de nada,
que quiero à quien me quiere,
y amo y soy amada.

Son difamadores
los desventurados,
por irles mal de amores
y ser despreciados:
todos mis pecados
son de puro honrada,
que quiero à quien me quiere,
y amo y soy amada.

Si yo de piedra fuese
sería razon
que no me comoviese
á sentir pasion:
mas es mi corazon
de carne y delicada,
que quiero à quien me quiere,
y amo y soy amada.

Mögen alle bösen Zungen
Immer sprechen, was beliebt:
Wer mich liebt, den lieb' ich wieder,

Schlimme, schlimme Reden flüstern
eure Zungen schonungslos,
doch ich weiß es, sie sind lüstern
nach unschuld'gem Blute bloß.
Nimmer soll es mich bekümmern,
schwatzt so viel es euch beliebt;
wer mich liebt, den lieb' ich wieder,
und ich [lieb' und]¹ bin geliebt.

Zur Verleumdung sich verstehet 
Nur, wem Lieb' und Gunst gebrach,
Weil's ihm selber elend gehet,
Und ihn niemand [minnt]² und mag.
Darum denk' ich, daß die Liebe, 
Drum sie schmähn, mir Ehre giebt;
Wer mich liebt, den lieb' ich wieder,

Wenn ich wär' aus Stein und Eisen,
Möchtet ihr darauf bestehn,
