Lieb Herze, kannst du nicht schwimmen?
Lieb Herze so schwimm zu mir;
Drei Kerzen will ich aufstecken,
Und die sollen leuchten dir.
 
Da saß eine falsche Nonne,
Die thät, als wenn sie schlief,
Sie thät die Kerzen auslöschen,
Der Jüngling ertrank so tief.
 
Sie schwang sich um ihren Mantel,
Und sprang wohl in die See.
Ade! Mein Vater und Mutter,
Ihr seht mich nun nicht meh'!
 
Da hört man Glocken läuten,
Da hört man Jammer und Noth;
Da liegen zwei Königskinder,
Die sind all beide todt.
