mi querido se adurmió:
¿si le recordaré ó no?

Peinaba yo mis cabellos
con cuidado cada dia,
y el viento los esparcia
revolviéndose con ellos
y á su soplo y sombra de ellos
mi querido se adurmió:
¿si le recordaré ó no?

Diceme que le da pena
el ser en extremo ingrata,
que le da vida y le mata
esta mi color morena,
y llamándome sirena
él junto á mí se adurmió:
¿si le recordaré ó no?
