   kaὶ ἐlogίsthē kάkōsis ἡ ἔxodos aὐtῶn 
3  kaί ἡ ἀph᾿ ἡmῶn poreίa sύntrimma, oἱ dέ eἰsin ἐn eἰrήnῃ. 
4  kaὶ gὰr ἐn ὄpsei ἀnthrώpōn ἐὰn kalasthῶsin, 
   ἡ ἐlpὶs aὐtῶn ἀthanasίas plήrēs· 
5  kaὶ ὀlίga paideuthέntes megάla eὐergetēthήsontai, 
   ὅti ὁ Theὸs ἐpeίrasen aὐtoὺs 
   kaὶ eὗren aὐtoὺs ἀxίus ἑautoῦ· 
6  ὡs chrysὸn ἐn chōneutērίῳ ἐdokίmasen aὐtoὺs 
   kaὶ ὡs ὁlokάrpōma thysίas prosedέxato aὐtoύs. 
7  kaὶ ἐn kairῷ ἐpiskopῆs aὐtῶn ἀnalάmpsusi 
   kaὶ ὡs spinthῆres ἐn kalάmῃ diadramoῦntai· 
8  krinoῦsin ἔthnē kaὶ kratήsusi laῶn, 
   kaὶ basileύsei aὐtῶn Kύrios eἰs toὺs aἰῶnas. 
9  oἱ pepoithόtes ἐp᾿ aὐtῷ synήsusin ἀlήtheian,
   kaὶ oἱ pistoὶ ἐn ἀgάpῃ prosmenoῦsin aὐtῷ,
   ὅti chάris kaὶ ἔleos ἐn toῖs ὁsίois aὐtoῦ,
   kaὶ ἐpiskopὴ ἐn toῖs ἐklektoῖs aὐtoῦ. 
10 Oἱ dὲ ἀsebeῖs kathὰ ἐlogίsanto ἕxusin ἐpitimίan,
   oἱ ἀmelήsantes toῦ dikaίu kaὶ toῦ Kyrίu ἀpostάntes. 
11 sophίan gὰr kaὶ paideίan ὁ ἐxuthenῶn talaίpōros, 
   kaὶ kenὴ ἡ ἐlpὶs aὐtῶn, kaὶ oἱ kόpoi ἀnόnētoi 
   kaὶ ἄchrēsta tὰ ἔrga aὐtῶn· 
12 aἱ gynaῖkes aὐtῶn ἄphrones, kaί ponērὰ tὰ tέkna aὐtῶn, 
   ἐpikatάratos ἡ gέnesis aὐtῶn. 
13 ὅti makarίa steῖra ἡ ἀmίantos, 
   ἥtis oὐk ἔgnō koίtēn ἐn paraptώmati, 
   ἕxei karpόn ἐn ἐpiskopῇ psychῶn, 
14 kaὶ eὐnoῦchos ὁ mὴ ἐrgasάmenos ἐn cheirὶ ἀnόmēma, 
   mēdὲ ἐnthymētheὶs katὰ toῦ Kyrίu ponērά, 
   dothήsetai gὰr aὐtῷ tῆs pίsteōs chάris ἐklektὴ 
   kaὶ klῆros ἐn naῷ Kyrίu thymērέsteros. 
15 ἀgathῶn gὰr pόnōn karpὸs eὐkleήs, 
   kaὶ ἀdiάptōtos ἡ rίza tῆs phronήseōs. 
16 tέkna dὲ moichῶn ἀtέlesta ἔstai, 
   kaὶ ἐk paranόmu koίtēs spέrma ἀphanisthήsetai. 
17 ἐάn te gὰr makrόbioi gέnōntai, eἰs oὐthὲn logisthήsontai, 
   kaὶ ἄtimon ἐp᾿ ἐschάtōn tὸ gῆras aὐtῶn· 
18 ἐάn te ὀxέōs teleutήsōsin, oὐch ἕxusin ἐlpίda, 
   oὐdὲ ἐn ἡmέrᾳ diagnώseōs paramύthion· 
19 geneᾶs gὰr ἀdίku chalepὰ tὰ tέlē.
