Marie-moi tant que je suis jeune, ô mère !
Avant que ma barbe entoure complètement ma figure,
Et que mon menton et ma moustache se dévorent.
Sinon les filles pourront dire de moi

« Mère, regarde l'ours que j'ai trouvé dans les buissons ! »
Ou : « Regarde le lièvre que j'ai trouvé dans le potager ! »
