Den Rosengesträuchen des Gartens entwallt Im Glanze der Frühe die holde Gestalt; Sie schwebt aus der Berge bepurpurtem Flor Gleich einsam elysischen Schatten hervor. A través dels avets del tossal, a través dels verns del rierol, em segueix sempre la teva imatge, estimada! Ella em somriu, adés melangiosa, adés serenament, en l'amable besllum de la lluna. Els rosers del jardí són sacsejats, a l'esclat del matí, per aquesta figura encisadora; sura des de la florida purpúria de les muntanyes, endavant, tota sola, com una ombra elísia. Sovint, en somnis, t'he vist com la més bella de les fades, t'he vist resplendir damunt un tron daurat; sovint t'he vist al cim de l'alterós Olimp com Hebe entre els déus. Des de les fondàries, des les alçàries, em ressona el teu celestial nom, com música de les esferes. M'imagino l'alenada que embolcalla les flors fremir sentint la teva veu melodiosa. A l'hora santa de mitjanit, el meu esperit, ple de pressentiments, sondeja els camps eteris. Estimada! Allà ens fa signes una terra on l'amic resta de nou eternament unit amb la seva amiga.
