In the morning, at dawn,
Across the dewy grass
I shall go to breathe in the fresh morning;
And into the fragrant shade,
Where the lilacs cascade,
I shall go to seek my happiness...

In life there is only one happiness
That I am fated to find,
And that happiness lives in the lilacs;
On the branches so green,
In the clusters so fragrant,
My poor little happiness blooms.
