En la nit tranquil·la, a la primera vetlla, una veu començà a plànyer-se, dolç i suau, el vent de la nit, em portà el ressò. De l’acerba pena i tristor, es desfeu el meu cor, amb llàgrimes pures vaig arrosar totes les petites flors. La formosa lluna es vol amagar i de la pena no brillar mai més, les estrelles afebleixen llur esclat, elles volen plorar amb mi. Cap cant d’ocell ni so de joia se senten a l’aire, les bèsties salvatges també s’afligeixen amb mi al rocam i a les afraus.
