Addormentato in agguato lassù sta il vecchio cavaliere; Sopra scorrono scrosci di pioggia e il bosco stormisce attraverso il cancello. Incolta la barba e la chioma, diventati pietra il petto e il collare, siede da molti secoli lassù nell'eremo silenzioso.
