Jealous destiny with troubles
Again threatens me
Will I maintain my resolve
To disdain destiny?
Will I meet her head on 
with the inflexibility and patience of my youth?

By stormy life exhausted, 
wearily I await the storm
Maybe, saved once again, 
I will find refuge...
But, with a premonition of separation, 
Of the inexorable, threatening hour
I hurry to embrace you, 
my angel, for the last time.

Gentle, serene angel
Quietly bid me farewell
Sadly, your tender glance
Raise or lower
And your remembrance will renew 
The strength of my soul;
The pride, joy and courage
Of my youthful days.
