Ne me console pas
Language: French (Français)
Ne me console pas.

Do not console me
Language: English  after the French (Français)
Do not console me. There is no use.
If the dreams that were my only fortune
depart my dark threshold where the mist crouches,
I'll be able to reconcile myself and say nothing.
One day, quite simply (do not console me!)
I will lay myself out before my sunlit door.
Children will be told to speak more softly.
And, abandoned by my sadness, I will die.
