Wo das Turtelchen lockt, wo sich das Grillchen ergötzt,
Welch ein Grab ist hier, das alle Götter mit Leben
Schön bepflanzt und geziert? Es ist Anakreons Ruh.
Frühling, Sommer, und Herbst genoß der glückliche Dichter,
Vor dem Winter hat ihn endlich der Hügel geschützt.

Aquí, on floreixen les roses, on la parra s’enfila entre els llorers,
on la tórtora encativa, on els grills es delecten,
quina tomba és aquesta, que tots els déus
han plantat i ornat de vida? És on reposa Anacreont.
De la primavera, de l’estiu i de la tardor ha gaudit el benaurat poeta,
de l’hivern, l’ha resguardat finalment el tossal.
