Schauer wird durch meine Nerven beben, Werd' ich deine Blüthen sehn, Und ihr Bildniß mir entgegen schweben, Ihre Gottheit mich umwehn! Thränenvoll werd' ich, beym Mondenlichte, In der Geisterstunde Graun, Dir entgegenzittern, und Gesichte Auf Gesichte werd' ich schaun; Mich in manchen Göttertraum verirren, Bis Entzückung mich durchbebt, Und nach meinem süßen Täubchen girren, Dessen [Abbild]1 vor mir schwebt! Huiv'ring zal mij door de nerven beven, Als 'k jou zie door bloei verfraaid, Als haar beeld mij tegemoet komt zweven En haar godheid mij omwaait. Tranenvol zal ik in 't maanverlichte Huiv'ren op het geestenuur, Sidd'rend naar jou toe gaan en gezichten Zien verschijnen, clair-obscur. Meen'ge godendroom zal mij vervoeren, Tot ik van verrukking ril, 'k Zal naar mijn beminde duifje koeren, Als haar afscheid is op til.
