En morgen zal de zon opnieuw gaan schijnen,
En op de route, die ik dan ga volgen,
Zal ons, gelukkigen, zij weer verenen,
Omringd door deze zonlichtaad'mende aarde....
 
En naar het strand, het verre, golvenblauwe,
Zullen wij stil en langzaam af gaan dalen,
Stom zullen w' elkaar in de ogen kijken,
En op ons zal geluk dan zwijgend zinken...
