Da vergißt Pierrot die Trauermienen!
Durch den bleichen Feuerschein des Mondes,

Nostalgie

Se plaignant doucement -- un soupir cristallin
Issu de vieilles pantomimes italiennes,
Revient en écho : comme Pierrot si raide,
Devenu si sentimental comme c'est la mode.

Et cela sonne à travers le désert de son cœur,
Sonne en sourdine à travers tous ses sens à nouveau,
Se plaignant doucement -- un soupir cristallin
Issu de vieilles pantomimes italiennes.

Maintenant Pierrot oublie les airs tragiques !
À la lueur pâle de la lune,
À travers les flots de la mer de lumière -- s'élève la nostalgie
Hardiment, jusqu'au ciel de la patrie,
Se plaignant doucement -- un soupir cristallin !
