Looft, kinderen, de Heer,
Looft de naam van de Heer.
2 De naam van de Heer zij gezegend 
van nu af tot in eeuwigheid.
3 Van zonsopgang tot zonsondergang 
moet de naam van de Heer geprezen zijn.
4 Verheven boven alle volkeren is de Heer, 
en boven de hemelen zijn roem.
5 Wie is als de Heer onze God, 
die in den hoge woont
6 En neerziet op het lagere
in de hemel en op aarde?
7 Die de machteloze van de grond doet opstaan 
en de arme uit het vuil optilt,
8 Om hem te plaatsen naast vorsten, 
naast de voornaamsten van zijn volk.
9 Die de onvruchtbare doet wonen in een huis, 
als een blije moeder van kinderen.
