La vida errant és la que més m'estimo, jo visc com ben bé puc, si jo volgués esforçar-me, això no faria pas per a mi. Conec velles, boniques cançons; quan fa fred, sense sabates, a fora, pessigo les cordes, no sé mai on dormiré al vespre! Alguna noia maca em fa l'ullet, volent dir que molt li agrado, si jo servís per alguna cosa, no seria un pobre vagabund. Que Déu et doni un home dotat de casa i cort! Si nosaltres dos estiguéssim junts, el meu cant podria morir.
