Sei mir willkommen, Dezembermond,
Und führ mich den Weg zum traulichen Hause,
Wo meine geliebte Herrin wohnt.
Nie hab' ich die Blüte des Maien,
Den blauenden Himmel, den blitzenden Tau
So fröhlich gegrüßt wie heute dein Schneien,
Dein Nebelgebräu und Wolkengrau.
Denn durch das Flockengetriebe,
Schöner, als je der Lenz gelacht,
Leuchtet und blüht der Frühling der Liebe

i porta’m pel camí vers l’entranyable casa
on viu la meva estimada mestressa.
El floriment de maig, el cel blau,
l’esclat de la rosada, mai els havia saludat
tan alegrament com avui les teves neus,
el potatge de la boira i la grisor dels núvols.
Car, a través del bellugueig dels flocs,
més bella que mai rigué la primavera,
llueix i floreix la primavera de l’amor
secretament per a mi, ara, en la nit d’hivern.
