Im Garten am Seegestade
Language: German (Deutsch)
Available translation(s): DUT ENG FRE ITA
Im Garten am Seegestade
Uralte Bäume stehn,
In ihren hohen Kronen
Sind kaum die Vögel zu sehn.

Die Bäume mit hohen Kronen,
Die rauschen Tag und Nacht,
Die Wellen schlagen zum Strande,
Die Vöglein singen sacht.

Das gibt ein Musizieren
So süß, so traurig bang,
Als wie verlorner Liebe
Und ewiger Sehnsucht Sang.

Bij zee in één der tuinen
Language: Dutch (Nederlands)  after the German (Deutsch)
Bij zee in één der tuinen
Staan bomen, eeuwenoud,
En in hun hoge kruinen
Je haast geen vogels aanschouwt.

De bomen met hoge kruinen,
Zij ruisen dag en nacht,
De golven rollen het strand op,
De vogels zingen zacht.

Dat geeft een musiceren
Zo zoet, zo droevig bang,
Als van verloren liefde
En eeuwige heimweezang.
