Reposa aquí, a fi que et pugui eixugar la suor del front i la sang de les galtes! Que vermelles són les teves galtes! Hermann! Hermann! Thusnelda mai t'ha estimat tant! Ni tan sols quan, per primera vegada, allà a l'ombra d'un roure, furient m'agafares amb els teus braços morens!
