Las tierras corrí
Language: Spanish (Español)
Las tierras corrí,
los mares pasé,
ventura busqué,
no la may para mí:
todos cuantos ví
salen con ventura,
para mí ninguna.

Ventura buscaba,
fortuna tenia,
razon la pedia,
amor la negaba:
mi fe firme estaba,
mas no mi ventura,
pues no veo ninguna.

La pena sufria
por mi pasatiempo;
pensaba que un tiempo
tras otro venia:
la ventura mia
trocóse en fortuna,
para mí ninguna.

Ich fuhr über See
Language: German (Deutsch)  after the Spanish (Español)
Available translation(s): ENG FRE
Ich fuhr über [See]1,
ich [zog]2 über Land,
das Glück das fand
ich nimmermehr.
Die Andern umher
wie jubelten sie!

[Und]3 ich jubelte nie!
Nach Glück ich jagte,
an Leiden krankt' ich;
als Recht verlangt' ich
was Liebe versagte.
Ich hofft' und wagte,
kein Glück mir gedieh,
und so schaut' ich es nie.

Trug ohne Klage
die Leiden, die bösen,
und dacht', es lösen
sich ab die Tage,
die fröhlichen Tage,
wie eilen sie!
Ich ereilte sie nie!
