Ich fuhr über Meer
Language: German (Deutsch)  after the Spanish (Español)
Our translations:  CAT ENG FRE
Ich fuhr über Meer,
Ich [zog]1 über Land,
Das Glück das fand
Ich nimmermehr.
Die Andern umher
Wie jubelten sie!
[Und ich]2 jubelte nie!

Nach Glück ich jagte,
An Leiden krankt' ich;
Als Recht verlangt' ich
Was Liebe versagte.
Ich hofft' und wagte --
Kein Glück mir gedieh,
Und so schaut' ich es nie.

Trug ohne Klage
Die Leiden, die bösen,
Und dacht', es lösen
Sich ab die Tage.
Die fröhlichen Tage
Wie eilen sie! --
Ich ereilte sie nie!

Vaig navegar pel mar
Language: Catalan (Català)  after the German (Deutsch)
Vaig navegar pel mar,
vaig viatjar per la terra,
però mai he trobat
la felicitat.
Els altres, al meu entorn,
com la gaudeixen!
I jo no l’he mai gaudit!

He perseguit la felicitat,
he emmalaltit de pena;
com un dret, vaig reclamar
el que l’amor em denegà.
Vaig confiar i gosar,
cap mena de felicitat se m’ha presentat,
i així, mai l’he pogut albirar.

Sense plànyer-me, he suportat
les penes, les malignes,
i pensava que desapareixerien
amb el pas dels dies;
els dies feliços,
què de pressa passen!
Mai els he pogut atrapar!
