Die Nacht
Language: German (Deutsch)
Available translation(s): CAT DUT ENG ENG FRE ITA RUS
Aus dem Walde tritt die Nacht,
Aus den Bäumen schleicht sie leise,
[Schaut]1 sich um [im weiten]2 Kreise,
    Nun gib Acht!

Alle Lichter dieser Welt,
Alle Blumen, alle Farben
Löscht sie aus und stiehlt die Garben
    Weg vom Feld.

Alles nimmt sie, was nur hold,
Nimmt das Silber weg des [Stromes,]3
Nimmt vom Kupferdach des [Domes]4
    Weg das Gold.

Ausgeplündert steht der Strauch:
Rücke näher, Seel' an Seele,
O die Nacht, mir bangt, sie stehle
    Dich mir auch.

La notte
Language: Italian (Italiano)  after the German (Deutsch)
Dal bosco viene la notte,
dagli alberi si insinua lieve,
si guarda intorno intorno
- ora stai all'erta!

Tutte le luci di questo mondo,
tutti i fiori, tutti i colori
spegne, e ruba
i covoni dal campo.

Porta via tutto ciò che è bello,
l'argento dal fiume,
porta via dalla cupola
del duomo l'oro.

Depredato sta il cespuglio,
stringiti più vicina, cuore a cuore,
ah, la notte mi spaventa,
può rubarmi anche te.
