Das Herz ist mir bedrückt, und sehnlich
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  FRE
Das Herz ist mir bedrückt, und sehnlich
gedenke ich der alten Zeit;
die Welt war damals noch so wöhnlich,
und ruhig lebten hin die Leut.

Doch jetzt ist alles wie verschoben,
das ist ein Drängen! eine Not!
Gestorben ist der Herrgott oben,
und unten ist der Teufel tot.

Und alles schaut so grämlich trübe,
so krausverwirrt und morsch und kalt,
und wäre nicht das bißchen Liebe,
so gäb es nirgends einen Halt.

J'ai le cœur oppressé et nostalgique
Language: French (Français)  after the German (Deutsch)
J'ai le cœur oppressé et nostalgique
Je pense aux temps anciens ;
Autrefois le monde était encore si agréable
Et les gens y vivaient sereinement.

Pourtant maintenant tout est changé,
C'est une urgence ! un besoin !
Là-haut le Seigneur Dieu a trépassé
Et en bas le diable est mort.

Et tout semble si morose et trouble,
Si déconcertant et pourri et froid ;
Et s'il n'y avait le plus petit brin d'amour
Il n' y aurait nulle part de réconfort.
