Hier an der Bergeshalde
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  FRE
Hier an der Bergeshalde
Verstummet ganz der Wind;
Die Zweige hängen nieder,
Darunter sitzt das Kind.

Sie sitzt in Thymiane,
Sie sitzt in lauter Duft;
Die blauen Fliegen summen
Und blitzen durch die Luft.

Es steht der Wald so schweigend,
Sie schaut so klug darein;
Um ihre braunen Locken
Hinfließt der Sonnenschein.

Der Kuckuck lacht von ferne,
Es geht mir durch den Sinn:
Sie hat die goldnen Augen
Der Waldeskönigin.

Là, sur le versant de la montagne
Language: French (Français)  after the German (Deutsch)
Là, sur le versant de la montagne
Le vent s'est tout à fait calmé ;
les frondaisons pendent vers le sol,
En-dessous une enfant est assise.

Elle est assise dans le thym
Elle est assise dans un pur parfum ;
Des mouches bleues bourdonnent
Et lancent des éclairs dans l'air.

La forêt est si silencieuse,
Elle s'y montre si sage ;
Autour de ses boucles brunes
Coule la lumière du soleil.

Au loin rit le coucou,
Et il me vient à l'esprit
Qu'elle a les yeux d'or
De la reine de la forêt.
