Schnell, verblühen im Wechsel der Stunden Blumen, die uns die Freude gewunden, und es schlüpfet, kaum gefunden, aus den Händen uns das Glück! Doch auch das Dunkel, vom Schicksal gegeben, muß im Wechsel der Stunden verschweben. Nimmer rastend eilt das Leben; was dahin, kehrt nie zurück! O so laßt an dem goldenen Saume fest uns fassen die glückliche Nähe, und uns freuen, so lang sie verweilt, o so lange sie verweilt, ja so lange sie verweilt!
