Der Leiermann
Language: German (Deutsch)
Available translation(s): CAT DUT DUT ENG ENG ENG FIN FRE FRI HEB IRI ITA KOR SPA
Drüben [hinter'm]1 Dorfe
Steht ein Leiermann,
Und mit [starren Fingern]2
Dreht er was er [kann]3.

Baarfuß auf dem Eise
[Schwankt]4 er hin und her;
Und sein kleiner Teller
[Bleibt ihm]5 immer leer.

Keiner mag ihn hören,
Keiner sieht ihn an;
Und die Hunde [brummen]6
Um den alten Mann.

Und er läßt es gehen
Alles, wie es will,
Dreht, und seine Leier
Steht ihm nimmer still.

Wunderlicher Alter,
Soll ich mit dir gehn?
Willst zu meinen Liedern
Deine Leier drehn?

Orgánaí Sráide
Language: Irish (Gaelic)  after the German (Deutsch)
Siúd lastall den bhaile
An t-orgánaí sráid’
‘Seinm ar a dhícheall
A mhéara reoite táid.

Cosnocht ar an oighear
‘Luascadh soir is siar
Agus tá a bhabhla
Folamh agus fuar

Níl aon neach ag éisteacht
Tá an domhan mór dall
Ar na gadhair ag tafann
Timpeall ar an mball.

Ligeann sé dó tarlú,
Pé rud a tharlóidh:
Casadh ‘thabhairt don orgán
Nach mbeidh ciúin go deo.

Seanóir liom na n-iontas
Raghaidh mé leat ar fán
Ach an mbeidh mo dhánta
Ag an orgán?
