Der Leiermann
Language: German (Deutsch)
Available translation(s): CAT DUT DUT ENG ENG ENG FIN FRE FRI HEB IRI ITA KOR SPA
Drüben [hinter'm]1 Dorfe
Steht ein Leiermann,
Und mit [starren Fingern]2
Dreht er was er [kann]3.

Baarfuß auf dem Eise
[Schwankt]4 er hin und her;
Und sein kleiner Teller
[Bleibt ihm]5 immer leer.

Keiner mag ihn hören,
Keiner sieht ihn an;
Und die Hunde [brummen]6
Um den alten Mann.

Und er läßt es gehen
Alles, wie es will,
Dreht, und seine Leier
Steht ihm nimmer still.

Wunderlicher Alter,
Soll ich mit dir gehn?
Willst zu meinen Liedern
Deine Leier drehn?

De Oargelman
Language: Frisian  after the German (Deutsch)
Krekt foarby it doarpke
stiet in oargelman
mei syn stramme fingers
kin er der wat fan.

Trêdzjend op hoasfuotling,
hat er it mar dreech,
en syn sintebakje
bliuwt mar altyd leech.

Nimmen wol him hearre,
nimmen sjocht him oan,
en de hûnen bylje
om dy âlde man,

mar hij lit dat alles,
krekt sa as it is,
draait mar oan syn oargel,
nea giet dêr wat mis.

Wûnderaardich mantsje,
mei ik neist dij stean?
Litst dan bij myn lieten
ek dyn oargel gean?
