Translation by Oleksandr Andriyovych Gryaznov (1940 - 2021)

Sožžёnnoe pys'mo
Language: Russian (Русский)
Our translations:  ENG FRE
Proščaj, pys'mo ljubvy! proščaj: ona velela.
Kak dolho medlyl ja, kak dolho ne chotela
Ruka predat' ohnju vse radosty moy!..
No polno, čas nastal. Hory, pys'mo ljubvy.
Hotov ja; nyčemu duša moja ne vnemlet.
[Už plamja žadnoe lystы tvoy pryemlet...]1
Mynutu!.. vspыchnuly! pыlajut -- lёhkyj dыm
Vyjas' terjaetsja s molenyem moym.
[Už perstnja vernoho utratja vpečatlen'e,
Rastoplennыj surhuč kypyt... O provyden'e!]2
Sveršylos'! Tёmnыe svernulysja lystы;
Na lёhkom peple ych zavetnыe čertы
Belejut... Hrud' moja stesnylas'. Pepel mylыj,
Otrada bednaja v sud'be moej unыloj,
Ostan'sja vek so mnoj na horestnoj hrudy...

Spalenyj lyst
Language: Ukrainian (Українська)  after the Russian (Русский)
Proščaj, kochannja lyst! Proščaj: vona zvelila.
Jak dovho ja vahavs'! Jak dovho ne chotila
Ruka viddat' vohnju tryvoh i ščastja vmist!..
Ta dosyt', čas nastav. Hory, kochannja lyst.
Hotovyj ja; duša ničoho ne spryjmaje.
Vže polum'ja lystky žadibno obijmaje...
Šče myt' odna!.. Horjat'! Palajut' – til'ky dym
Zlitaje iz moïm molinnjam movčaznym.
Vidbytok persnja, ščo skripyv proščal'ne slovo,
Rozplavlenyj surhuč vtračaje postupovo…
Pohasly čorni, obhorili storinky,
Lyše na popeli bilijut' šče rjadky…
Styskaje hrudy bil'. Jak tjažko! Popil mylyj,
Straždannja i pečal' rozradyty bezsylyj,
Navik na hrudjach cych skorbotnych zalyšys'!..
