In sogno vidi l'amata una donna triste e afflitta, sfiorito e abbattuto il corpo una volta così florido. Un bimbo portava in braccio, un altro per la mano, con evidente miseria e pena nel passo, nello sgaurdo, nell'abito. Camminava a fatica per la piazza del mercato e là mi incontrò e mi vide, e tranquillo e addolorato io le dissi: Vieni a casa mia, tu sei stanca e malata; io voglio col mio duro lavoro gudagnarti da mangiare e da bere. Io voglio curare e occuparmi dei bambini che sono con te, ma sopra tutto di te, povera bimba infelice. Io non voglio mai rivelarti che ti ho amato, e se tu muori, io voglio solo piangere sulla tua tomba.
