Guarda che bianca luna!
Language: Italian (Italiano)
Available translation(s): CAT ENG FRE
Guarda che bianca luna!
Guarda che notte azzurra!
Un'aura non susurra,
[Non]1 tremola uno stel.

L'usignuoletto solo
Va dalla siepe all'orno,
E sospirando intorno
Chiama la sua fedel.

Ella, [che il sente appena]2,
[Già]3 vien di fronda in fronda,
E [par che gli risponda]4,
"[Non]1 piangere: son qui."

[Che dolci affetti, [o]5 Irene,
Che gemiti son questi!
Ah! mai tu non sapesti
Rispondermi così!]6

Regarde, comme la lune est blanche!
Language: French (Français)  after the Italian (Italiano)
Regarde, comme la lune est blanche !
Regarde, comme la nuit est bleue !
Aucune brise ne chuchote,
Non, aucune branche ne tremble.

Le rossignol seul
Va de la haie au hêtre
Et en soupirant tout autour
Appelle sa bien-aimée.

Elle, qui l'entend à peine,
Vient de feuille en feuille,
Et semble lui dire :
Non, ne pleure pas, je suis ici.

Quelles plaintes,
Que de douces larmes, Irène,
Tu n'as jamais su
Me répondre ainsi !
