Sa main était légère et ferme : Il montait un jeune cheval Et avec des gestes nonchalants Maintenait en place sa monture frissonnante. Toutefois quand de sa main Il dut saisir le léger gobelet, Ce fut pour eux deux bien trop dur : Car tous deux tremblaient si fort Que leurs mains ne se trouvèrent pas, Et du vin sombre coula sur le sol.
