Pod murami Szirazu leży piękna Mozella, w śnie tam Hafiz spoczywa. I nigdzie w Persji całej pieśni słowiczych chóry tak słodko nie brzmiąjak tam. I nigdzie w Persji całej wiosennych wdzięków czar tak bujnie nie rozkwita. O dziwo! I kwiaty pachną tak na grobie Hafiza, iż zdasię ogrodem róż. Ich woń świąteczna, radosna tak zmysły odurza dziwnie! Nie kwiatów jest to zapach, lecz wina czar upojny.
