Hoog boven ‘t jachttafereel,
Daar rotsen avondrood hangen,
Als was ‘t een luchtkasteel.
 
Daar tussen pieken en tinnen,
Door wilde anjers omringd,
De mooie woudvrouwen spinnen
En zingen hun lied in de wind.
 
De jager kijkt naar de muren:
‘Daar boven, mijn lief is daar.’
Hij sprong, zijn paard kreeg plots kuren –
