И небо в блестках, без лазури;
Но верь мне: дева на скале
Прекрасней волн, небес и бури.

Te vi, mujer, en el acantilado
vestida de blanco, sobre las olas
cuando golpeaban fuerte en la oscuridad. 
El mar jugaba con la orilla
como una luz que brillase encima
ella en todo momento en brillante escarlata
y el viento silbaba y movía
su ondeante velo. 
Qué hermoso es el mar en la oscuridad
con cielos que brillan sin azul, 
pero creedme: la joven en el acantilado
es más bella que olas, cielos y tormentas.
