Ein Alphorn hör' ich schallen
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  CAT ENG FRE ITA
Ein Alphorn hör' ich schallen,
Das mich von hinnen ruft;
Tönt es aus wald'gen Hallen,
Tönt es aus blauer Luft?
Tönt es von Bergeshöhe,
[Aus]1 blumenreichem Tal?
Wo ich nur geh' und stehe,
Hör' ich's in süßer Qual.

Bei Spiel und frohem Reigen,
Einsam mit mir allein,
Tönt's, ohne je zu schweigen,
Tönt tief in's Herz hinein.
Noch nie hab' ich gefunden
Den Ort, woher es schallt,
Und nimmer wird gesunden
Dies Herz, bis es verhallt.

Il corno delle Alpi
Language: Italian (Italiano)  after the German (Deutsch)
Un corno sento risuonare,
che mi chiama da laggiù;
viene il suono dai luoghi alpestri,
viene dall'aria azzurra?
Viene dall'alto delle montagne,
dalla valle piena di fiori?
Dovunque io vada o posi,
lo sento con dolce pena.

Nel gioco, nella lieta danza,
nell'ora solitaria,
risuona, senza mai tacere,
risuona nel profondo del cuore.
Non ho ancora trovato
il luogo da cui viene quel suono,
né mai guarisce il cuore,
fin che esso risuona.
