Nun rauscht im Morgenwinde sacht, So Busch als Waldrevier! So rauscht meine Sehnsucht Tag und Nacht, Rauscht immerdar nach dir. Du merkst es nicht, du bist so weit, Kein Laut herüber spricht; O schlimme Zeit, einsame Zeit! Und Flügel hab' ich nicht. Vom höchsten Berg mein Auge sieht Umsonst nach West und Ost, Ein Gruß zu dir, von dir ein Lied, Das ist mein einz'ger Trost. So sing' ich denn durch Wald und Dorn Meine Weis' im Wanderzug: "Deine Lieb' das ist ein süßer Born, Deß trink' ich nie genug."
