Heimgang in der Frühe
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  ENG ENG FRE NOR
In der Dämmerung,
Um Glock' zwei, Glock' dreie,
Trat ich aus der Tür
In die Morgenweihe.

Klanglos liegt der Weg,
Und die Bäume schweigen,
Und das Vogellied
Schläft noch in den Zweigen.

Hör ich hinter mir
Sacht ein Fenster schließen?
Will mein strömend Herz
Übers Ufer fließen?

Sieht mein Sehnen nur
Blond und blaue Farben?
Himmelsrot und Grün
Samt den andern starben.

Ihrer Augen Blau
Küßt die Wölkchenherde,
Und ihr blondes Haar
Deckt die ganze Erde.

Was die Nacht mir gab,
Wird mich lang durchbeben;
Meine Arme weit
Fangen Lust und Leben.

Eine Drossel weckt
Plötzlich aus den Bäumen,
Und der Tag erwacht
Still aus Liebesträumen.

På tidlig hjemvei
Language: Norwegian (Bokmål)  after the German (Deutsch)
I demringen
Klokken to, klokken tre
Gikk jeg ut av døren
i morgenens stillhet.

Vegen ligger der uten en lyd
trærne tier,
Og fuglesangen
sover fremdeles på grenene.

Hører jeg bak meg
et vindu lukke seg stille?
Vil mitt overstrømmende hjerte
flyte over sine bredder?

Ser min lengsel kun
bleke og blå farger?
Det himmelsrøde og grønne
er dødt sammen med de andre.

Hennes blå øyne
Kysser de små hærene av skyer,
Og hennes blonde hår
dekker hele jorden.

Hva natten gav meg
kommer lenge til å skjelve i meg;
Mine armer favner vidt
Lyst og liv.

En trost våkner
plutselig i et tre,
og dagen våkner
stille fra kjærlighetsdrømmene.
