In später Stund Küß ich deinen roten Mund. Streck dein kleines, dickes Bein, steht noch nicht auf Weg und Stein. Schlaf, mein Wölfchen, schlaf! Schlaf, mein Wulf. Es kommt die Zeit, Regen [rinnt]2, es stürmt und schneit. Lebst in atemloser Hast, Hättest gerne [Schlaf]3 und Rast. Schlaf, mein Wölfchen, schlaf! Přede dveřmi strom spí již, zahradou sen táhne blíž, měsíce loď již pluje milá, kohout v spánku kokrhá. Spi, můj vlčku spi, naposlad zlíbám červený tvůj ret, tlustou nožku ulož jen. Nešla ješte přes kámen. Spi, můj vlčku spi. Spi můj vlčku přijde čas s deštěm bouři, sněhem zas až tě bude život štvát, ten klid a spánek měl bys pak rád.
