Nun der Tag mich müd gemacht
Language: German (Deutsch)
Available translation(s): CAT DUT DUT ENG ENG FRE FRI ITA NOR SPA
[Nun]1 der Tag mich [müd]2 gemacht,
Soll mein sehnliches Verlangen
Freundlich die gestirnte Nacht
Wie ein müdes Kind empfangen.

Hände, laßt von allem Tun,
Stirn vergiß du alles Denken,
Alle meine Sinne nun
Wollen sich in Schlummer senken.

Und die Seele unbewacht
Will in freien Flügen schweben,
Um im Zauberkreis der Nacht
Tief und tausendfach zu leben.

Ved sovetid
Language: Norwegian (Bokmål)  after the German (Deutsch)
Nå som dagen har gjort meg trett,
Skal min inderlige lengsel
Nacht vennlig motta den alvorstunge natt
som et trett barn.

Hender, legg bort deres gjerninger,
panne, glem alle tanker,
alle mine sanser
vil nå synke ned i slumring.

Og sjelen vil ubevoktet
sveve på frie vinger,
for i nattens magiske sirkel
dypt og tusenfolds å leve.
