Elle : Avec quelle douceur le vent de la nuit caresse la prée et passe en sonnailles à travers la jeune ramée ! Tandis que le jour arrogant fait encore silence, on peut entendre l'effervescent murmure des forces telluriques, qui s'élève et se mêle à l'hymne tendre de la brise aux voix pures. Lui : Je perçois bien les voix ineffables voluptueusement mêlées par le vent tiède, tandis que, dans les rais d'une lumière hésitante, le ciel lui-même semble ondoyer. Elle : Parfois le vent s'agite comme un voilage clair et transparent ; on y entend les harmonies subtiles que produisent les fées sacrées qui, sous la voûte azurée et la résonance des sphères, s'appliquent à leur chant dans le va-et-vient de leur fuseaux d'argent. Lui : O nuit propice, tu t'avances doucement sur ton velours noir qui ne verdit qu'avec le jour, et tu te mets au service de la musique qui vibrionne dans l'air de ton pas léger qui mesure la marche des heures, alors qu'amoureusement tu t'abîmes en toi-même-- tu t'exaltes, et avec toi s'exalte l'âme de la Création !
