De arend vloog naar huis, de zon verborg zich onder water en de wind haastte zich na drie nachten naar zijn moeder. De moeder vroeg aan de wind: "waar heb je je tijd doorgebracht? Soms sterren bevochten, of de golven met zijn allen opgejaagd?" "Nee ik joeg niet op de golven van de zee, noch heb ik het goud van de sterren aangeraakt, maar ik heb op een kindje gepast en zijn wiegje geschommeld!" Slaap kindje van me, ga maar slapen!
