Quellen rauschen, Lüfte schweigen,
Lindenblüten duften sacht.
Durch die blaue, stille Nacht
geht von Herz zu Herz ein Neigen,
geht von Stern zu Stern ein Neigen
durch die junge Sommerpracht;
gab ich nicht in solcher Nacht
meine Seele dir, zu eigen.

Les fonts remoregen, emmudeixen els vents,
les flors dels til·lers flairegen dolçament.
A través de la blava, silenciosa nit
una inclinança va de cor a cor,
una inclinança va d’estrella a estrella,
per l’esplendor de l’estiu que comença;
en una nit com aquesta, no t’he pas donat
la meva ànima perquè fos teva?

Quan a l’ombriu port
tots els vaixells dormen,
a tu em desperto.
Tot és tranquil al voltant,
l’hora és sagrada,
car, retenint l’alè, et porta cap a mi.

Tu estàs a la llum de la lluna
esperant al llindar,
i jo et sento;
vine, perquè t’abraci,
que la teva ànima regni
maternalment damunt els meus somnis.

T’estimo! Un cant secret
ha bressat la meva ànima en un somni profund,
quan el meu cap s’arrima a la teva galta,
sento ja tocar fluixet les campanes de noces.

T’estimo! Ara els planters són florits,
l’esplendor de l’estiu vol quasi espargir el camí –
Vine, anem a caminar pels camps
i amb els cors tranquils presentar-nos davant Déu Nostre Senyor.

Duld' es still, wenn von den Zweigen
Von den überfüllten Zweigen,
Blüten weh'n ins fromme Haar,
Und sich sacht herniederneigen,

Sieh, ein Leben süß und wunderlich
Rinnt durch übersonnte Blätterreihen.
Alle Blüten, die sie niederstreuen,
Frühling breiten sie auf dich und mich.

Suporteu-ho amb silenci, quan de les branques,
de les carregades branques,
onegen flors vers uns pudorosos cabells,
i suaument es vinclen,
llavis sobre llavis.

Mireu, una vida dolça i meravellosa
flueix a través de solejades rengleres de fulles.
Totes les flors que elles deixen caure,
escampen primavera al meu i al teu damunt.

Sieh, Liebchen, hier im Waldestal
das Plätzchen unvergessen,
wo kosend wir zum letzenmal
im letzen Herbst gesessen!

Und sieh, nun sind in goldner Tracht
hier an derselben Stelle
die ersten Primeln aufgewacht,
als wär's des Lenzes Schwelle!

Siehst du, wie Liebe Wunder tut,
daß wenn der Schnee zerflossen,
dort, wo ein Liebespaar geruht,
die ersten Primeln sprossen?

Nun wollen doppelt eifrig wir,
wenn Moos und Gräser schwellen,
fürs nächste Jahr im Waldrevier
die Primelsaat bestellen.

Dann lächeln wir ob unserm Streich,
wenn Berg und Täler wimmeln
und keiner weiß, warum so reich
geraten sind die Primeln.

Esguarda, estimada, aquí a la vall del bosc
el petit indret inoblidable,
on ens acaronàrem per darrer cop
la tardor passada!

I esguarda, ara vestides d’or,
aquí, al mateix lloc,
han sortit les primeres prímules,
com si fóssim al llindar de la primavera!

Veus com l’amor fa miracles,
ja que quan s’ha fos la neu,
allà, on ha estat un parell d’enamorats,
brosten les primeres prímules.

Ara redoblarem el nostre zel,
quan la molsa i l’herba creixin,
a l’any que ve, al districte del bosc
anirem a sembrar prímules.

Després, somriurem per el nostre acudit
quan les muntanyes i les valls n’estiguin farcides
i ningú sàpiga per què tan abundoses
les prímules hagin crescut.

zusammenströmend unsre Zwiegedanken,
in Deiner Seele ruhte Meine Welt.

Tu miraves el món a través de la meva ànima,
era també la teva ànima: silencioses, les barreres
entre nosaltres s’enfonsaren en el corrent de l’esguard,
junts reposàveu en mi, tu i el món.

Vaig veure els teus ulls immensament resplendents:
desbordaven il·luminació, bevien il·luminació,
els nostres pensaments conjunts s’aplegaven,
el meu món reposava en la teva ànima.

I demà tornarà a brillar el sol
i al camí pel que aniré
ens reunirà, a nosaltres els benaurats, de nou,
al bell mig d’aquesta terra que alena la llum del sol.

I a la vasta platja, amb les blaves onades,
baixarem lentament i en silenci,

i el mut silenci de la benaurança davallarà damunt nostre.
