Tu giovane verde, tu erba fresca! Quanti cuori per te guariscono, che soffrivano per la neve dell'inverno, o come il mio cuore ti desidera! Già appena ti desti dalla notte della terra, come sorride a te il mio sguardo! Qui nel quieto fondo del bosco, ti premo, verde, sul cuore e sulla bocca. Che voglia di allontanarmi dalla gente! Il mio dolore, parola umana non conforta: solo il giovane verde sul mio cuore lo fa battere più sereno.
