Ты не бойся, если звёзды
  Слишком ярко светят:
Я плащом тебя одену
  Так, что не заметят.

Если сторож нас окликнет,
  Назовись солдатом; 
Если спросят, с кем была ты?
  Отвечай, что с братом.

Под надзором богомолки 
  Ведь тюрьма наскучит,

  With a thirsty kiss
My heart to your heart so young
  Passionately I press against you.

Don’t be afraid, that the stars
  Brightly shine:
I’ll wrap you in a cloak
  So we’re not noticed.

If the guard calls out to us,
  Present yourself as a soldier; 
If asked, with whom are you here?
  Answer, that you’re with your brother.

Under the old woman's watchful eye 
  you will get as bored as if you were locked up,
Thus the prisoner’s captivity 
  Teaches you cunning.
